Steels here

Down at Bluewater yesterday with Ben and Kelly Harp to meet up with David Warner to discuss the hull build. Looks like they're busy at the moment with four boats in the sheds that we went in, most of which were wide beams. Talked over the options and went through my list of questions - thankfully everybody was very patient. Karen and Kelly disappeared and went rounding up wayward lambs, this ids truly a rural setting. The steel for our build is in the yard - including the 15mm for the base plate and talking with David it looks like the build will be 15:6:5:4 which is a bonus as we were expecting 15:6:4. Took the camera but it seems pointless taking a photo of steel plate laid on concrete and I have to wonder if it really will float. Building will start next week and there should be something to see in a couple of weeks.
Stopped off for lunch at the Two Boats at Long Ichington on the Grand Union, vowing to return one day by water.

Hi David/Karen,
We had our boat built by Ben, I can assure you you are in good hands, Ben & Kelly very good couple, we had a few minor problems with our boat as you would expect, but all sorted without hesitation. Will follow your blog and may see you on the cut in the near future

Hi David & Karen

This is Bill & Debbie waving to you from Goa (and to Kev & Ann also - hope you are both well). Ben is building our boat after he has finished yours, so we will be following your blog with interest!

Hi everbody.
Thanks for interest. From what we've seen of the workmanship of Ben and Bluewater it should be a goodun.
